Following recent investigations into incidents involving Lithium Batteries we are being advised by BIFA that, we should ensure where consignments do not contain Dangerous Goods, that shippers make the following statement on freight instruction forms or bookings made by email message:
Dangerous Goods Declaration
The goods in this consignment are not, nor contain, hazardous items.
This draws attention to a serious matter and therefore helps to protect parties in the supply chain.
