HMRC has issued guidelines for traders to enable importing of PPE at zero rate of import duty & import Vat where product is being sold/donated to the NHS to be used to fight the COVID-19 outbreak. Conditions apply.
NIRU (National Import Relief Unit) will subject to satisfactory completion of application, issue a license to import.
Prior to import traders should check with HMRC as the continued availability of this relief.
